28th International UMIDS-2026 Exhibition opens in Krasnodar

Companies specialising in the manufacture of furniture, equipment, materials, and components for the woodworking industry are showcasing their products in the Expograd Yug exhibition centre in Krasnodar until 10 April. The exhibition comprises four pavilions and spans 30,000 square metres.

On behalf of Veniamin Kondratyev, Governor of the Krasnodar Region, Alexander Ruppel, Deputy Governor of the Region, welcomed the participants.

«The woodworking and furniture industries contribute to our quality of life on a daily basis. In the Krasnodar Region, around 200 enterprises and nearly 2,000 specialists are shaping the spaces in which we live, work, relax, and raise our children. Today, despite all the challenges, the sector is showing steady growth: by the end of 2025, furniture shipments in the region had increased by more than 20%. This is a positive indicator of the region's development: many buildings are being erected across various sectors, including housing, social facilities, hotels, and restaurants. There are already large hotels that have been entirely built and fitted out by our local manufacturers,» said Alexander Ruppel at the exhibition's opening.

The Deputy Governor noted that the participants of the exhibition come from various regions of Russia, as well as Turkey, Uzbekistan, Iran, and Belarus, which confirms the status of the UMIDS exhibition as a hub for professional dialogue and international cooperation.

Around 350 companies are taking part, including more than 50 from the Krasnodar Region.
